Cyber Recovery FAQs
Salvador Tech's Backup & Recovery Platform is designed to support large organizations with multiple sites or endpoints distributed nationally or globally. In the OT landscape, managing security tools requires two requirements:
(A) Centralized management from HQ to allow a high-level view of all sites, assess overall resilience, and allow deeper investigation into specific assets when needed.
(B) Site by site management that empowers site managers to assess every asset, group them by risk and criticality, and ensure their site is fully prepared for a potential cyberattack.
Whether it's a distributed organization with centralized management or each site managed by a different team, the Salvador Tech Backup and Recovery Platform enables efficient monitoring, management, control, and reporting across all sites and assets.
Yes. The Salvador Tech Management Console provides a convenient way to monitor, manage, and control each of your sites through a single viewpoint. It displays key insights for the entire site, such as Resilience Score, Risk, and Critical Alerts, based on analytics across all assets. At the same time, the Console allows deep visibility into individual assets, showing protection levels and other critical details.
Yes. When the Salvador Tech Management Console detects a cyberattack, the platform immediately takes action to eliminate the risk of backup contamination. This includes halting backup processes and applying additional measures to prevent the attack from reaching stored backups, thus ensuring backup integrity.
The Console also displays the current status of the attack, helping managers initiate the appropriate instant recovery process. While the Salvador Tech Platform is built for swift recovery and maintaining business and operational continuity, it is not designed to stop cyberattacks or replace prevention and detection tools like Firewall and EDR. These tools should be deployed alongside the Console or immediately after deploying the Salvador Tech Platform; some of them can be integrated with the Salvador Tech Platform to enhance overall resilience.
Our advanced backup software creates a full duplicate of the system, including the OS (Operating System), data files, drivers, and unique user configuration. Thanks to our secure air-gap protection, attackers cannot reach, encrypt, or delete the data. This allows users to immediately reboot and operate from Salvador's disk, with no need for IT expertise. Just one click of a button is all it takes.
Yes. DR (Disaster Recovery) is designed specifically for data loss in cases such as fire, water, physical theft. These are usually online solutions that are vulnerable to cyber-attacks. Salvador's solution is based on air-gapped protection storage to allow recovery from ransomware, wiper malware, and other types of cyberattacks.
Air-gap protection is a security measure for computer networks that physically isolates their private information from the public Internet. A key advantage of this technology over other cloud solutions is that the data is offline, vastly decreasing the risk of malware and ransomware attacks. Air-gap technology is highly relevant to OT because the system protects critical information from potential attacks, dramatically reducing the risks of data loss and operational downtime.
There are many disaster situations we can help you with! We specialize in ransomware attacks, WIPER attacks (disk erasure), physical disk damage, software glitches, and more. Our simple-to-use web monitoring system, allows you to see the status of all workstations in one management panel, on the cloud or on-premise.
